The Trial Lawyer Magazine has named New Jersey attorney Christopher M. Placitella, partner at the law firm of Cohen, Placitella & Roth, as one of "America's Most Influential Trial Lawyers" for 2011.
The Trial Lawyer Magazine designates the top 100 civil plaintiff and criminal defense attorneys in the United States to the "America's Most Influential Trial Lawyers" list. The lawyers being honored "represent the greatest trial lawyers in the history of our distinguished profession, based on their consistent demonstration of success and professional excellence," according to the National Trial Lawyers organization. The Trial Lawyer Magazine's mission is to bring together the top attorneys nationally with attorneys practicing throughout the United States, and to foster an open dialogue between the finest trial lawyers in America and its members within the legal profession.
Mr. Placitella, former President of the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association, has been an active participant in numerous landmark cases, has received numerous awards for his efforts on behalf of victims of environmental and toxic pollution, and is recognized as one of the country's leading authorities on mesothelioma, asbestos related diseases, and toxic torts.
